HAGBOURNE United avoided a potential banana skin, beating Division 2 leaders Dorchester 2-0 to reach the quarter-finals of the North Berks Cup.
Hagbourne, from Division 1, went in front with their first attack when Jack Kitchener scored from a free-kick just outside the box.
The visitors went further ahead when a Kitchener corner found Adam Lee, who headed the ball back across the area to Joe Parish, who fired home.
There were no further goals in the second half, and Hagbourne will now travel to Benson Lions or Drayton in the last eight.
Long Wittenham moved into the quarter-finals with a comfortable 3-1 win at Lambourn Sports.
Callum Bowler, Lewis Monaghan and Eddie Stanhope scored their goals, with Chris Pocock replying.
In league action, Berinsfield cruised to a 5-0 win at home to East Hendred in Division 1.
Chris Murphy bagged a hat-trick, including two penalties, with Max Palmer and Luke Holdsworth also on target.
Drayton saw off hosts Cholsey United 3-0, thanks to goals from Pat Walsh, Josh Dennis and Nathan Merry.
Saxton Rovers Res went top of Division 2 with a 6-0 win at Kingston Colts.
Michael Smith (3), Archie Smith, James Davies and Connor Spraggs scored their goals.
