OXFORD City bowed out of the Buildbase FA Trophy on penalties after a thrilling 4-4 draw in their third qualifying round replay at Hornchurch.
Joe Oastler and Stefan Brown missed from 12 yards as the Isthmian Premier Division outfit won the shoot out 4-1.
The sides were level at 2-2 after 90 minutes, with Elliot Benyon scoring both City goals.
Hornchurch went ahead three minutes into extra time, but Josh Ashby replied instantly with a free-kick.
The hosts restored their lead soon after, before Brown scored the eighth goal of the evening with an acrobatic effort in the 107th minute.
But City missed two of their three penalties from the spot, with Hornchurch scoring all four of theirs.
Meanwhile, Banbury United reached the Oxfordshire Senior Cup quarter-finals after seeing off Cropredy 3-0.
Thame United beat Easington Sports 2-0, while Ardley United’s clash at home to Kidlington was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
