THE East Stand mural at the Kassam Stadium is on target to be installed next month.

Oxford United supporters' trust OxVox are behind the project, which was funded by donations from fans.

In a letter to members, they have now advised it will be in place for the fixture with Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday, December 21.

Paul Peros, OxVox's chairman, wrote: "As we draw nearer to the fitting of the mural we have been looking at the best date to unveil and after consulting the club we have decided to go for the home game with Wycombe.

"They have some great plans underway for the Man City game (on December 18) and we were happy to step back from our original plan to unveil then and go with what should be a big crowd against our local rivals from up the road."

OxVox also thanked stadium owners Firoka for their support, with the final legal documents due to be signed off shortly.
