Didcot Town manager Stuart Peace says he may rest Michael Watkins for their Division 1 West trip to Slough because of the speculation surrounding the goalkeeper.

Watkins, 23, who is wanted as No 2 to Billy Turley at Oxford United, is having a week's trial at League One side Wycombe.

The keeper is set to make a decision about his future on Saturday.

But Peace said the interest was having an unsettling effect on Watlkins, who has had a trial at Coventry City, and may select Oxford City's Lee Farrow should the paperwork be sorted out in time.

"I think the interest is affecting his (Watkins) game. We need to know what he is doing.

"I'm seriously thinking of bringing Lee in. It would give me a good opportunity to look at him."

Richard Peirson is unavailable for the trip to Slough, while Paul Powell (knee) and Grant Goodall (Achilles) are doubtful.

Oxford City striker Jermaine McSporran could miss their home game against Winchester City.

He is having tests after becoming ill during Saturday's 3-3 draw at Didcot.

Anya Ikechi (hamstring) is a doubt, while James Faulkner has joined Midland Division side Aylesbury.

Banbury United, who are without a game as scheduled opponents Hemel Hempstead are in the FA Trophy, have re-signed their former midfielder Ollie Stanbridge from Premier Division rivals Brackley.

The funeral of Oxford City legend Tony Bradbury will be held at Oxford crematorium on Tuesday, November 13, starting at 2.15pm.
