OXFORD United are ‘going in blind’ to this weekend’s Emirates FA Cup first-round tie after their scouting preparations were disrupted.

Karl Robinson’s men visit Hayes & Yeading United in a game which has been moved to Sunday so it can be broadcast live on BT Sport.

But ironically it is a lack of footage which has proved a hiccup.

United had a representative at the BetVictor Southern League Premier Division South side’s replay win over Poole Town.

But a plan to watch their home game with Blackfield & Langley last weekend was scuppered by a waterlogged pitch.

The same fate befell their Middlesex Senior Cup tie at Wealdstone in midweek.

Combined with an absence of full games on tape have given United a problem.

Robinson said: “Garry Parker, who does all our next game analysis, went to watch them at the weekend but it was called off.

“We can’t find any video footage of them, other than goals. We’re going in blind.

“We’re digging everywhere trying to find more.

“We’ve got people coming in who know that level who can maybe help and guide me through that to give me more advice.

“But I think in these competitions you have to worry about yourself as well.”
