OXFORD United have received mixed news on the two players forced off with injuries at the weekend.

Chris Cadden's hamstring issue appears to have cleared up quickly, although the full back may still be rested this week as a precaution.

But there are concerns over Cameron Brannagan, who is still struggling with a knee problem he suffered in the first half of Saturday's 3-0 win over Rochdale.

More will be known on the severity of the injury after a scan this afternoon.

United head coach Karl Robinson said: "Cadds isn't that bad, we're not even going to send him for a scan.

"But Cameron Brannagan will have a scan this afternoon, he's still in severe pain this morning and can't put any weight on it.

"We'll have to wait and see for the true reality of the injury to come to the surface.

"While we're in this moment we just hope it's not a bad one - for him most importantly because he's probably been the best player in League One this season, from what I've seen.

"That (would be) a massive blow to us."

He added: "It's always difficult to replace players with that quality.

"But we'll deal with it - I didn't think we'd cope with losing Ben Woodburn for a period of time, but we seem to have found a way of managing that."
