BANBURY Bulls returned to winning ways with a 36-12 win over Old Patesians in South West 1 East.

Head coach Matt Goode made eight changes to the side that lost to Old Centralians the previous weekend and the new-look side responded from the start, Jacob Mills crossing for an unconverted try.

Kallum Dixey touched down to put the visitors in charge before Joe Mills added a third try, Alex Caviezel Cox converting the latter to make it 17-0.

The visitors did not let up and secured the bonus point before half-time, James Leonardi diving over for another converted score.

In the second period, Cox touched down after charging down a kick before Jacob Mills scored his second try to make it 36-0, the latter converted.

James Astley scored two tries for the hosts in the final moments but the contest had long been over.

Oxford Harlequins recorded a second consecutive heavy victory with a 53-7 win at home to Wimborne.

Charlie Williams got the ball rolling on two minutes, Rory Garrett converting, before Matt White crossed on the half-hour mark, Garrett adding the two points.

This opened the floodgates, with Allan Purchase, Freddie Myatt and Harry Burns all scoring before the break and Garrett adding a conversion.

Burns crossed again on 46 minutes, Garrett adding the extras to make it 38-0, before two Jonnie Henderson scores and another Williams effort put Quins 53-0 up.

Wimborne touched down in the final minute but it was only a consolation.
