JEM Karacan featured for Oxford United's under 23s on trial in a friendly against AFC Wimbledon this afternoon.
Malik Dijksteel also played, as the U's lost 4-1 at the training ground.
Boss Karl Robinson is looking for a free agent to fill a space in midfield following injuries to Jamie Hanson and George Thorne.
And he is taking a closer look at Karacan, who was offered a U's contract in July 2018 but turned it down to join Millwall.
The 30-year-old is without a club, having most recently played for Central Coast Mariners in Australia between January and April this year.
Dijksteel, 18, is the younger brother of Anfernee, who played under Robinson at Charlton Athletic.
Both played 75 minutes, with Sam Long scoring United's consolation against Wimbledon.
