JONATHAN Cornish was in a class of his own as he won the Hanney 5 by a mammoth 50 seconds.

The White Horse Harriers runner crossed the line in a time of 25mins 42secs, with Tegs Jones of Witney Road Runners following in second.

Alex Miell-Ingram was the next Oxfordshire athlete across the line, clocking 27mins 21secs in fourth.

Frankie Snare, of Witney, took the women’s accolade.

Eynsham Road Runners’ Kate Allred was hot on her heels to win the LV45 category, while teammate Kate Williamson was the first LV65 runner home.

Mark Jones, of Headington Road Runners (V60), Didcot Runners’ Tina Wise (LV35) and Alchester Running Club’s Caroline Kerr (LV55) also won their respective titles.

Alchester also tasted success in the Stowe Winter Trail 12k, Richard Gould winning in a time of 48mins 41secs.

Clubmate Jonathan White took the 6k title, crossing the line in 27mins 18secs.
