NORTH BERKS LEAGUE

STEVENTON hit back from a goal down to beat Cholsey 2-1 in their Division 1 clash.

In blustery conditions, Cholsey went ahead when a corner fell to Josh Boult who fired home from close range.

Steventon levelled ten minutes after the break when Andy Cooper was fouled in the box and Jon Green stepped up to fire home the resulting penalty.

With 20 minutes remaining, Steventon secured maximum points when Zach Weller tapped home.

Watlington stayed top, despite being held to a 2-2 draw at Lambourn Sports.

Jack Findlater and Jamie Neild scored for the hosts, with Chris Swales and Brandon Burton replying.

Hagbourne United maintained their 100 per cent record with a 1-0 win over Saxton Rovers, Kieran Cooper scoring the only goal.

Jordan Parrott’s brace helped East Hendred to a 2-0 win over Sutton Courtenay, while Drayton beat North Oxford 3-0 with strikes from Josh Dennis, Callum Stewart and Alex Kerry.

In Division 2, Faringdon Town Res stayed top with a 2-0 victory against East Hendred Res, with Jason Evans and Rich Evans scoring the goals.

Grove Rangers also triumphed 2-0, seeing off Saxton Rovers Res thanks to two penalties from Ollie O’Hanlon, while Saxton’s Luke Dewar was sent off.

Watlington Town Res went top of Division 3 with a 3-1 win against Uffington United.

Ethan Ball, Tom Bowden and Steve Outten netted for Watlington, with Oliver Clark replying.

CROPEDY remain the early pacesetters in the Premier Division table.

Jack Welch, Aaron Dineen and Harry Walters were on target in a 3-0 win over Hanborough.

Yarnton picked up their first victory in a 5-1 success at Charlton United.

Harry Ackland (2), James Bateman, Jamie Baugman and Slavyas Antanason were all on target, with Anthony Davidson grabbing Charlton’s sole strike.

Diogo Campos scored the only goal as Horspath beat Kennington Athletic 1-0.

Drew Simpson scored a hat-trick as Eynsham Association won 5-1 at Kennington Athletic Res in Division 1.

Neil Hobday and Dan Johnson were also on target, with Jamie Smith replying.

Kyle Forbes, Mike O’Carroll, Louis Winkworth and John Danby all scored in Adderbury Park Res’ 4-3 win at M.IN.I.

Steve Roberts scored both goals in Heyford Athletic Res’ 2-0 win over Horspath Res in Division 2.

Jamie Smith bagged four goals as Yarnton Res hammered Chinnor Res 6-1.

RAFFY Rice’s double helped Stonesfield to a convincing 4-1 win at home to Spartan Rangers in the Premier Division.

James Little and Carry Rice were also on target, Harry Thompson hitting back.

Hailey marched on at the top courtesy of a 5-1 victory at Carterton Town A.

There were five different goalscorers for the visitors as Jack Wood, Freddie Buckingham, Travis O’Connor, Sam Wheeler and Tom Gregory all found the net.

James Sinclair replied for Carterton.

A strike from Vince Evans and a penalty from Brad Bryant saw Carterton triumph 2-1 at Charlbury, for whom Michael Hayes replied.

In Division 1, Witney Royals recorded a first win of the campaign as they saw off visitors Bourton Rovers 3-1.

Luke Rippington, Corey Donohoe and Jake Harding were on the mark, with Lee Mosson replying.

Hook Norton brushed aside visitors Charlbury Town Res 10-2 in their Division 2 clash.

Jay Mair grabbed a

five-timer, James Ingham hit a double with Max Green, Max Harris and Sam Prickett completing the rout.

Damien Corbin and Mark Clements replied.

In Division 3, Chipping Norton Town kicked off their season with a 4-0 win at home to Bourton Rovers Res.

Jack Knight (2), Lewis Smith and Dan Morgan scored the goals.

FC Ascott Rangers thumped FC Ascott 6-1 in Division 4.

Steve Curran bagged a brace, with Chris Brooksbank, Mike Sanders, Josh Morgan and Rob Mainwaring also finding the net.

Arthur Muir was also on target, with Jared Smile’s strike proving in vain.

Enrique Monguio, Lauri Kunz and Conner Paton were on target as Oxford Sporting Acc saw off East Oxford 3-2.

Craig Lawson and Mihai Miha were on the mark for the losers.
