EDDIE Pepperell produced a decent display on the opening day of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
The Abingdon golfer, who is playing with former South African cricketer AB de Villiers, shot a two-under-par 70 at Carnoustie.
It left the Frilford Heath member well down the field, but he has two more chances to climb the leaderboard when he plays at Kingsbarns tomorrow (9.11am) and St Andrews on Saturday (11.01).
Their combined three-under total leaves them with plenty to do to feature on the final day.
Pepperell hit five birdies and three bogeys in his round.
