EAST & West Hendred secured the Division 2 title after beating Stanton Harcourt by four wickets.

Needing only two points to seal the crown, Hendred dismissed their visitors for 160, Nigel George taking 4-30 and Jon Francis 3-19.

Hendred then reached 162-6 to record victory as Andy Francis hit 56.

Wootton & Boars Hill finished runners-up with a three-wicket win over Hanborough.

Damien Wiskin and Nik King both completed 50 wicket hauls for the season as their side took second.

At the other end of the table, Clifton Hampden completed a 78-run win at Bampton, but both teams are relegated.

Morley Benson struck 69 in Clifton’s 229-5, before three wickets apiece for Josh Thacker and Julian Hitchman helped to bowl Bampton out for 151.

Division 1 champions Witney Swifts signed off with a two-wicket defeat at Chipping Norton.

Charlie Fisher hit 110 not out as Swifts set 229-6, but Ian Widdows (68no) and Arthur Ward (36) saw Chippy to 230-8 to secure the win.

Middleton Cheney’s Barry White took 5-28 to help his side to a four-wicket win over Marsh Gibbon, while Brian George took 4-30 as Wolvercote thrashed Stonesfield by nine wickets.

Division 3 champions Hook Norton amassed a massive 344-3 as they hammered Wantage by 183 runs, Jason Trinder leading the way with 139 not out, James Ingham 64 and Dan White hit 53 in Hooky’s enormous total, and the home side then bowled Wantage out for 161.

Broughton & North Newington were relegated as they lost by 74 runs at Combe.

The home side set 201-7, Chris Moore top-scoring with 41, before Julian Chaundy took 5-12 in 12 overs as Broughton were restricted to 127-9 in their reply.

Marcham’s five-wicket win over basement boys Dorchester secured their safety.

Ethan Davie took 5-34 in Dorchester’s 143 all out, before Edward Warwick (38) and Stuart Armstrong (31no) saw Marcham home at 147-5.

Tom Broughton’s 6-22 helped Brill to a six-wicket win at home to Risinghurst.

In Division 4, Uffington finally picked up a victory, in their final game, seeing off Garsington & Cowley 2nd by three wickets.

Adam Shorten (4-20) and Peter Jones (4-27) helped to bowl the visitors out for 149 and then Shorten struck 38 to steer Uffington home.

West Ilsley edged out Witney Swifts 2nd by one wicket.

Tom Davies (74) helped Swifts to 182 all out, but Ralph Taylor’s 54 then saw Ilsley to victory at 183-9.

Freeland needed maximum points and a big victory against Risinghurst 2nd to take the second promotion spot in Division 5.

But although they did manage victory, the low-scoring match did not garner them enough points to overhaul Sunningwell.

Freeland were shot out for just 98, only Marc Buckingham (37) getting going.

Simon Brown then took 5-25 as Risinghurst fell for 75, but it was not enough for Freeland to take the runners-up spot.

In Division 6, Oxenford 3rd wrapped up the runners-up spot with a crushing 187-run win at Dorchester 2nd.

Tim Hamp hit 118 and Sameer Pathak 68 as Oxenford racked up 307-7, and then three wickets apiece for Asad Bakhtiar and Oliver Carr sent Dorchester tumbling to 117 all out.

Swinbrook beat Chesterton by three wickets.

Kit Morland took 5-42 in Chesterton’s 130 all out, then Callum Dadge top-scored with 44 in Swinbrook’s 132-7.

Hook Norton 2nd’s Jason Davis starred with bat and ball in their 68-run win at Westcott 2nd.

Hooky posted 230-4 as Davis hit 90, and he then took 3-7 as Westcott fell for 162, Ras Arukgoda scoring 64.

Stanton Harcourt 2nd are runners-up in Division 7 North after a 107-run win over Stonesfield 2nd.

Declan Wastie top-scored with 49 not out in Stanton’s 197-7 and then Kane Lewis took 5-15 as Stonesfield fell for 90.
