MASONS pulled off a shock result by beating leaders Oracle 4-2 in the Oxford & District League, writes PETE EWINS.
Martyn Wood won the first leg, but Matt Jones (11,390) made it 1-1.
Alan Lowe beat Mark Trafford 8,760-4,490 before Wood grabbed his second win of the evening to make it 3-1 – his victory coming off the final ball.
Although Jones reduced the deficit with his second success, Lowe won again to clinch victory.
West Oxford Democrats Club continued their fine run with a 6-0 home victory over Berinsfield to move joint top.
Terry Green, Billy Hill and John Patey all won twice.
Donnington triumphed 5-1 at Bletchington, while Vikings prevailed by the same scoreline at home to Gladiators, with Lewis Stratford (6,080 & 4,570) starring.
