HAGBOURNE United made an impressive start to the North Berks League season when beating hosts Berinsfield 2-0.

Jack Kitchener’s strike and own goal helped the visitors claim victory in the Division 1 fixture.

Champions Saxton Rovers beat Drayton 3-2.

Niall Hodgkins, Ollie Nadin and Kyle Brown scored for Saxton, with Nathan Merry and William Wright replying.

In Division 2, Chris Winstone and George Kay fired Dorchester to a 2-0 victory over new boys Kingston Colts.

Meanwhile, Aaron Dineen scored twice as Cropredy edged past Chesterton 3-2 in a thriller.

Dan Reeves was also on target in the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division encounter, while James Casbierd hit both of Chesterton’s goals.

Wayne Blossom and Rowan Chappell fired Bicester United to a 2-0 victory over Yarnton.
