Joe Courtney's double gave East Hendred a surprise 2-1 home win over Division 1 side Steventon in the North Berks Cup first round on Saturday.

Courtney struck twice in the first half for the second division outfit. And although Adam Parsons pulled one back, it wasn't enough.

Holders Ardington & Lockinge eased through with a 3-0 win over Coleshill United, thanks to strikes by Andy Cooper, Alan Haines and Chris Roche.

Faringdon Town coasted to a 5-1 win at Crowmarsh Gifford, who are unbeaten in Division 2 this season.

Gary Sutton (2), Robbie Harrington (2) and Matthew Pill were the Faringdon marksmen, with Phil Hedges replying.

Drayton's defence was breached for the first time this season as they went down 2-0 at Harwell International.

Adam Blaszko and Mike Yardley did the damage.

Wootton & Dry Sandford picked up their first win with a 3-1 success over Grove Rangers.

Mark Loveridge, Nic Ridge and Tom Srawley earned them a home tie against Marcham in the next round. Jonny James replied for Grove.

Robert Willis hit a four-timer in Harwell Village's 7-2 home win over Challow United.

Alan Bertrum, Ben Chaffey and Luke Morley scored for Harwell, with Eamonn McGowan and Gareth Eltham netting for Challow.

Goalkeeper Joe Betteridge scored for the second successive week as Blewbury blew away Sutton Courtenay 5-0.

Neil Tonner, Stuart Morrison, Tom Ingram and Sean Russell completed Blewbury's tally.

In Division 2, Coleshill United Res stay following a 3-2 win over Long Wittenham Athletic.

Steve Lovegrove, Shane Blake and Chris Maisey, with a penalty, were on target for Coleshill.

Benson AFC brushed aside Saxton Rovers Res 3-0, with goals from Andrew Wright, Steve Harrhy and Damian Rigozzi.

In Division 3, Didcot Casuals shared the goals around in a 6-2 win at Warborough & Shillingford.

Jake Chaffey, Jamie Newport, Tommy Fisher, Wayne Jacks, Lee Newport (pictured firing past Warborough keeper Adam Dewar) and Simon Timewell netted for Didcot, with Gary Cooper bagging a brace - including a penalty - for Warborough.

Benson Lions also gained a 6-2 win, at home to Grove Rangers Res.

Andy Morgan, Rob Dixon, Jon Radcliffe, Graeme Munro, David Arscott and Iain Whittle were the Benson hot-shots.

Kevin Pryde hit a brace for Ardington & Lockinge Res in their 2-1 win at Drayton Res. Robert Payne replied.
