WEST Oxford Democrats Club moved level on points with the leaders following a superb 6-0 win at Bletchington, writes PETE EWINS.
John Patey (4,950 & 3,150), Richard Garrett (5,290 & 4,290) and top performer Billy Hill (10,810 & 6,100) were on form to secure a whitewash.
The win moved them joint top of the Oxford & District Summer League table with Oracle, who won 4-2 at Donnington.
Third placed Masons inflicted a first defeat on Vikings by winning 4-2 at home.
Martyn Wood (5,150) and Alan Lowe (6,040) gave Masons a 1-0 and 2-1 lead, only for Vikings to twice level through Sean Stratford and Mick Jones.
But Mick Murphy and Lowe’s second win sealed victory.
Berinsfield won their first game of the season with a 4-2 triumph at Gladiators Club, thanks to David Naylor (2), John Boal and Jack Clements.
Bob Pincombe and Jenny Webb hit back for Gladiators.
