Bicester No 8 Dan Spencer ran in a hat-trick of tries as they crushed Wheatley 59-10 at Oxford Road in the BB&O Premier Division.

The hosts bagged nine tries in all, with wing Anthony Lewis and replacement centre Nick Kenny notching doubles.

Lewis opened the scoring on 20 minutes, but Wheatley equalised when wing Ben Kelsey evaded two tackles to touch down in the corner.

Kenny, on for John Rollason, was next in on the act with Steve Risbridger kicking the first of seven conversions.

Spencer and Lewis struck to make it 26-5 at the break.

It was 38-5 after Spencer and Kenny scored again.

Prop Will Morris, full back Paul Leverton and Spencer went over for Bicester, while wing Simon Wilde added a Wheatley consolation.

Chipping Norton maintained their momentum at the top with a 29-3 home win against Stow-on-the-Wold.

They fell behind to a first-minute penalty, but Adam Smith soon levelled in kind.

The hosts were creating plenty of chances, but found numerous ways of messing them up.

Smith calmed the home crowd's nerves on the half hour with a simply worked try.

Stow's No 8 was sin-binned for killing the ball after the break and Chippy kicked for touch.

The resulting lineout saw Craig Korszewski cross over and Smith convert.

Now fully in the driving seat, Barry Nutt scored under the posts, Smith again converting, and Chippy wrapped it up with a fine team try through Simon Hawken.

Gosford All Blacks left it late to secure a 20-15 win at Abingdon.

Abingdon scored a breakaway try after five minutes and Ian Thompson added a penalty to his conversion to make it 10-0.

Gosford replied with a Tim Ellis penalty and bagged a try after the break through Murray Stewart.

Abingdon went 15-8 up with another try, before full back Kye Clutton went over for Gosford, who clinched victory when Ellis converted his own try.
