OXFORD City Stars have re-signed popular forward Joe Edwards.
The fans’ favourite has returned to Oxpens after a brief spell at MK Thunder in the second half of last season.
“It was a tough decision to leave last year as Oxford is my hometown club that I’ve supported since before I played hockey,” said the 29-year-old.
“But this was to play at a higher level and challenge myself to improve.
“I’m looking forward to pulling on the yellow and blue jersey again.”
Head coach Simon Anderson added: “JI knew that we had to get him back to Oxford.
“He was one of the first guys I reached out to.
“Joe brings an unbelievable amount of speed, skill and goalscoring ability.
“He had a decent year at NIHL 1 whilst in MK and I know that Joe will be a scoring threat whenever he is on the ice for us.”
