LAITH Dallamy provided the only highlight as Oxford Saints’ struggles continued with defeat to Berkshire Renegades.
The running back’s touchdown in the second quarter put the home side 7-6 ahead, but they crashed to a 27-6 defeat to a side who had lost their first six games.
It sent Saints, who also have just one win this season, to the bottom of the BAFA SFC 1 Central.
After a scoreless first quarter at Tilsley Park, Renegades were the first on the board.
Their two-point attempt failed, allowing Saints to edge ahead when they kicked the conversion after Dallamy’s score.
But the visitors hit back to lead 14-7 at the break with a second touchdown, this time successfully adding the extra two points.
An unconverted touchdown in each of the following two quarters gave Renegades a straightforward victory to snap their losing streak and climb above Saints.
They are in action again on Sunday, with a visit to leaders Solent Thrashers, who have a 100 per cent record this season.
