Oxford City Stars face an English League Cup double-header this weekend - and two contrasting matches.

They travel to Solihull today to take on a side who have lost all four league matches, but won both cup games.

And then tomorrow they play host to Milton Keynes, who have won just one of their four cup clashes, but enjoyed three victories from four matches in the league.

Two Stars players have points to prove.

Mark Krater and Lee Featherstone (pictured) joined Oxford from Milton Keynes in the summer and are desperate to put one over their former side.

Stars coach Darryl Morvan said of the matches: "Solihull play tough, no-nonsense hockey and have a very partisan crowd.

"They have had mixed fortunes, but we would be very foolish to underestimate them, especially as we ourselves have yet to play our best hockey.

"Milton Keynes are a very physical team, and I'm sure people remember we had to come back from 3-0 down to beat them last year."
