SAXTON Rovers added the North Berks Cup to their trophy cabinet as they beat Drayton 2-1 in front of almost 500 spectators at Abingdon United.

They took an early lead when Tom Stanley fired past Gareth Small.

And on 20 minutes, Saxton doubled their advantage when Dan Parry fired home after a Louis Bloomfield free-kick fell into his path.

Drayton tried to find a way back into the game after the break, but had to wait until three minutes from the end to reduce the arrears when Josh Dennis was brought down in the box.

He picked himself up to send Joe Absolom the wrong way from the spot.

However, Saxton held firm to win a fourth trophy of the season.
