SAXTON Rovers Res lifted the Nairne Paul Cup after a 1-0 extra-time victory over Lambourn Sports Res at Milton United, writes RICHARD UNDERWOOD.
In a game of few chances, the most notable action of the 90 minutes came when Saxton’s Wayne Waldron was sent off for a foul on the edge of the box.
In the first period of extra time, Lambourne were also reduced to ten men as Luke Chandler saw red, also for a foul.
Lambourne then had another man sent off as Chris Pocock received a second yellow card.
Saxton claimed the crucial goal when Harry Winn rose above the defence to power a header into the net from ten yards.
In league action, Watlington Town lifted the Division 2 trophy with a 2-1 win over Drayton.
Josh Dennis put the visitors ahead, but goals from Chris Witchell and Darren Outen clinched the points for Watlington.
Levi Webb struck a hat-trick for Milton United A in a 6-2 win over Hagbourne United.
Jamie Larman, James Large and Reece Morgan were also on target, with Dan Cadman and Dan McCullough replying.
