OXFORDSHIRE will be well represented at the European Taekwondo Championships next week.
A squad of 13 from the county fly out to Rimini, Italy, to bid for glory in the prestigious event which gets under way on Thursday.
Students from Botley, Bicester, Didcot, Wantage and Abingdon earned places in the England squad.
And while many will be hoping for their first international medal success, others have been there before – and with success.
Wantage instructor Carl Davis is looking to defend his 2017 European Championship gold medal.
And Bicester resident Ashley Stuart will be hoping to build on his 2018 bronze medal success.
The other members of the Oxfordshire contingent are Charlie Rhodes, Lilly Emptage, Max Rhodes, Mark Lorrinson, Ryan Woodsend, Sean McIntyre, Ricky De-Winton, Paisley Hillier, Chris Dudman, Gabriella Rhodes and Seren Fullbrook.
