OXFORD United are optimistic John Mousinho will shake off a calf injury to be available against Rochdale tomorrow night.
The skipper was withdrawn at half-time in their 1-0 defeat at Gillingham reporting a tightness in the muscle.
But the precautionary measure appears to have limited the damage, meaning Mousinho has a chance of at least making the squad for the clash with fellow strugglers Rochdale.
"We hope so, yes," head coach Karl Robinson said.
"He’s still a bit stiff. He didn’t train yesterday and I don’t think he’ll train today, but it’s not as severe as we thought.

"It’s nothing in some ways, it just stiffened up which only allowed him to play to 60 per cent.
"When you’ve got somebody of the likes of Ahmed Kashi sat behind you it’s a no-brainer to get him on the pitch (on Saturday) at 100 per cent."
