JORDANNE Whiley has earned a top-40 ranking after narrowly missing out on her second title of the year.
The 26-year-old, who lives in Steventon, has won nine of her ten singles matches in 2019 and sits 39th in the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tour standings.
Whiley, who won the ITF 3 Series Wrexham Indoor event the previous week, was denied back-to-back titles last Saturday after losing 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 to Italy’s Giulia Capocci in the final of the Bolton Indoor ITF 2.

Having now competed in two events, she has earned her first world ranking since returning to the sport following the birth of her son, Jackson.
Whiley also reached the semi-finals of the doubles in Bolton, partnering Dana Mathewson.
Meanwhile, Long Wittenham's Alexis Canter lost 6-2, 6-1 to Japan’s Shuichi Sekiguchi in the first round of the M25 Albury event in Australia on the ITF World Tour.
