CAMERON Brannagan admits he needs to show more patience amid a looming suspension.

The midfielder is one caution away from ten bookings in Sky Bet League One this season, which triggers a two-game ban.

With the cut-off for reaching double figures still 11 matches away, Brannagan knows there is realistically little chance of avoiding it.

The former Liverpool trainee, who scored his fifth goal of the season on Tuesday, said: “It is going to happen and I’ve just got to deal with it.

“When it comes I have to accept it, I have just got to be a little more patient, stay on my feet more because I’m getting a lot of bookings.

“It kills me missing games. I need to calm down.”

Tomorrow marks Brannagan’s first return to Fleetwood Town since a mixed loan spell in 2017.

He said: “I learned a lot and I’m glad I did it, but I wanted to play more. That’s life and you move on.

“I’m looking forward to the game and the most important thing to me is my team winning.”
