A LATE penalty from Fabio Lopes earned Oxford United's under 18s the point they needed to win the EFL Youth Alliance South West Division.
Michael Elechi was fouled in the box four minutes from time and Lopes tucked away the spot kick to secure a 1-1 draw at Portsmouth.
The visitors had trailed since the 40th minute, but spent the second half creating a host of chances.
And Lopes's penalty means they cannot be caught with a game still remaining.
It is the first time United have won the title in 12 years.
