SEVEN goals in the space of nine minutes saw Oxford City Stars roar to a 10-3 victory over Basingstoke Buffalo.
The English National League South Division 2 clash was a tight affair in the early stages, but came alive in the final second of the middle period, before the hosts ran riot at the start of the third.
Stars, who remain fourth in the table, fell behind in the seventh minute when Sam Brooks scored.
Alex Staples levelled five minutes later, before further goals from Tom Davis and Lee Richardson put Stars 3-1 ahead.
Conor Redmond then scored in the last second of the period to secure a three-goal cushion.
And Stars made the game safe with a stunning burst in the final period – scoring six goals in five
minutes through Joe Edwards, Richardson, Michal Oravec, Josh Oliver, Redmond and Davis.
Although Basingstoke hit back through Warren Jones and Cameron Buckle, Stars were good value for their win.
