THE festive fixture list is book-ended by two lengthy away trips for Oxford United – but the journeys should be eased slightly with fewer roadworks.
Tomorrow’s visit to Doncaster Rovers is followed on New Year’s Day by a trip to Plymouth Argyle.
For those going to both fixtures it means a round trip of more than 700 miles.
Roadworks are a routine hindrance for away fans, but Highways England have lifted projects across the country during the holiday period.
They will be lifted from this morning and last until January 2.
Two of those will help the Yellow Army. Tomorrow’s journey north will be aided by the absence of five miles of works on the M1 around Trowell Services.
And the trip to Devon is helped by the removal of 3.5 miles of near Taunton on the M5.
