STEVE Robertson scored twice as Wantage Town earned their first Uhlsport Hellenic League win since November, when beating Fairford Town 4-1 at home.

Goals from Dan Comer and Jack Dunmall (pictured) inside the opening 13 minutes helped the Alfredians lead 2-1 at half-time in the Premier Division encounter.

Robertson’s double after the break then made sure of victory.

Wantage are in action again tonight when they host Almondsbury in the Perpetua Press Floodlit Cup.

Third-from-bottom Abingdon United drew 0-0 at home to Holmer Green.

They are also in Floodlit Cup action tonight, travelling to Wokingham & Emmbrook.

Shrivenham’s fixture at Reading City was postponed.

Ardley United’s game against Binfield last Friday night suffered the same fate.

But Craig Adey’s side will be hoping this evening’s Floodlit Cup tie at home to Wallingford Town beats the weather.
