LIAM Eltham smashed a hat-trick as East Hendred ran out convincing 5-1 winners at Steventon in Division 1 of the North Berks League, writes RICHARD UNDERWOOD.

Liam McCullough put Hendred in front, before Eltham doubled the lead.

Moments later, Eltham made it 3-0, before McCullough added a fourth before the break.

In the second half, Eltham was brought down in the box, and stepped up to fire in a penalty to complete his hat-trick, before Steventon pulled one back through Lewis Camm.

Long Wittenham were held to a 2-2 draw by visitors Berinsfield.

Gareth Barnes and John Robert Willis netted for the hosts, with Arran Colley bagging a brace against his former club to earn Berinsfield a point.

In Division 2, Drayton made it five wins on the trot with a 5-2 home success against Cholsey United.

Nathan Merry and Callum Green both bagged braces, with Josh Dennis also on target.

Joe Barrett and Kane Gulliford replied.

Letcombe reduced the gap at the top of the table to seven points with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Marcham.

James Wright, Jake Ford and Rio Burgoyne scored their goals, with Tom Graham and Stuart Armstrong on target for Marcham.
