Banbury’s squad with Team GB Olympian Ashley McKenzie
BANBURY Judo Club had an afternoon to remember when Olympian Ashley McKenzie dropped in to deliver a masterclass to members.
The Team GB athlete, who
competed at both London 2012 and Rio 2016 in one of the most competitive weight categories, showed off his talents in a number of demonstrations – and even took to the floor against a number of opponents.
McKenzie, a self-funded athlete, is bidding to make it three successive Olympic Games by securing his place in the British team to compete at Tokyo 2020.
