CRAIG Holland’s injury-time try earned Chinnor a stunning 40-33 comeback victory at Birmingham Moseley in another National League 1 thriller.

The Thame-based side had trailed 26-7 before the late drama saw them climb to third.

Chinnor took the lead on five minutes when captain Danny Barnes went over, Greg Goodfellow adding the extras.

The latter was then sin-binned and the hosts went 14-7 up, thanks to tries from Adam Caves and Alex Hearle, James Williams converting.

Even with Goodfellow back on the pitch, Chinnor slipped further behind as Ravia Fatiaki crossed twice, Williams converting the second, as Moseley led 26-7.

Reon Joseph then dived over, Goodfellow adding the extras, as the visitors reduced the deficit to 26-14 at the break.

Tries from Jack Ramshaw, Holland and Joe Dancer, with Goodfellow converting twice, saw Chinnor edge 33-26 ahead with 22 minutes to go.

Moseley drew level, when Adam Caves crossed, Williams converting, in the 77th minute.

But Holland’s last minute try and Goodfellow successful kick earned Chinnor victory.

Henley Hawks climbed to second in National League 2 South when winning 24-15 at Birmingham & Solihull for a seventh straight victory.

Despite dominating the opening 20 minutes, the visitors trailed 3-0.

But Henley reponded well to head into the break with a 14-3 lead, thanks to tries from Liam O’Neill and Ryan O’Neill, the former converting both.

Jacob Albon touched down to extend Henley’s lead, but the hosts took advantage of Dave Manning being in the sin-bin to hit back with two tries and cut the deficit to four points.

Hawks responded well and Sam Randle crossed to make sure of victory, but Manning was sent off late on after receiving a second yellow card.
