GOLF: Eddie Pepperell forced to withdraw from Dubai event
Eddie Pepperell has been forced to pull out of the DP World Tour Championship.
The Abingdon golfer went into the Dubai event struggling with a back problem, and had two injections last week in a bid to be fit.
He shot a three-over-par 75 in his opening round yesterday.
And today the Frilford Heath member had dropped another two shots after 13 holes, before calling it a day.
Pepperell birdied the second and tenth holes, but hit bogeys on the third, ninth, 12th and 13th.
