Vanarama National League North strugglers Southport will visit the winners, while a trip to Plymouth Argyle awaits Oxford United if they can negotiate their replay with Forest Green Rovers.

City were agonisingly close to going through at the first attempt, conceding an 89th-minute equaliser to draw 3-3 at Prenton Park.

The silver-lining is the return fixture at Court Place Farm has been selected for live television coverage, which is worth £33,750.

United will be hoping to raise their game after a drab goalless draw with Forest Green on Saturday.
