Oxfordshire's representatives at the Home Counties Finals on the tricky Parsons Green rinks all went out at the hands of the eventual title winners.
Banbury Central's four of Graham Morbey, Mick Goddard substituting for Peter Norton, John McGeough and skip Mike Andrew were swept aside 21-12 by Buckinghamshire's rink skipped by Paul Seymour.
Banbury Borough's Keith Holloway, Richard Redford and Colin Whitehead lost out 16-13 in an exciting semi-final against Adrian Finney's Sussex trio.
Having fought back to go in to the last end only one shot behind, the Oxfordshire triples champions lost a two on the final end.
In the Under 25's contest, Headington's Shaun Claridge was beaten 21-12 by Sussex's Matt Ives, who went on to take the title 21-18 against Kent's Michael Cheeseman.
This left Oxon singles champion Ian Whelpton, who had a tight game against Middlesex's Ron LeLeaux before going down 21-15.
The Banbury Central man was all-square with his opponent at 14-14, but then dropped four shots which proved decisive.
