Former Abingdon Ambler Jonny Lodowski won his first international medal at the European Clubs Cup in the Czech Republic.

His club, Enfield & Haringey, were representing Great Britain against clubs from Russia, Italy, Spain, Serbia, Turkey, Bosnia and Slovakia in a Premier Division meeting.

Lodowski won a silver medal in the 400m hurdles, being narrowly beaten on the finishing line by the Spanish athlete.

He went on to land another silver with the British team in the 4x400m relay.

He began his leg in third place, but worked up to first place to give his teammate Aron Trim the lead for the final leg.

The race went to the wire, with the Serbian athlete winning with a lunge for the line.

Enfield & Haringey won gold medals in the 100m, 200m, 3,000m steeplechase and 4x100m relay.

The club finished fourth overall, losing out by one point to Turkey.
