GAVIN Whyte is available again for Oxford United, but the winger is unlikely to walk straight back into the starting line-up today.
The 22-year-old has missed the last two games on duty for Northern Ireland, where he won his second senior cap in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
U’s boss Karl Robinson is delighted to have Whyte back, but with Marcus Browne impressing in last weekend’s 2-0 win against Plymouth Argyle, he may have to settle for a place on the bench.
Robinson said: “It’s massive to see him coming back. He’s been one of our best players.
“Unfortunately we didn’t have him available last Saturday and then Marcus came in and was one of the best players on the pitch.”
There is also a decision to make in midfield, where Cameron Brannagan serves a one-match suspension after collecting five bookings.
Jamie Hanson and Shandon Baptiste are pushing to take his place.
Rovers’ former U’s loanee Tareiq Holmes-Dennis is back in training after injury, but today’s game comes too soon.
