ADAM Burden landed two medals at the Bournemouth Under 15 silver tournament.

The Oxfordshire player won gold in the boys doubles and silver in the mixed.

There was also local success at the Berkshire Under 13 event in Reading.

Ryan Tao took bronze in the boys singles, as did Freddie River and Ethan Soanes in the doubles, and Darcey Groves and Phoebe Wing in the girls equivalent.

Oxfordshire Under 18s made a flying start in the Shires League, when beating Herefordshire 15-5 at St Helen and St Katharine School in Abingdon.

The team of Ethan Rose, Oliver Butler, Charlie Driver, Joshua Peverell, Andrew Norkett, Eleanor Butler, Holly Craig, Maddy Cook and Rebecca Norkett proved too strong.

Oxon’s Under 20s were beaten 16-4 by Sussex in Horsham.

Jamie Cackett, James Moreton-Smith, Luke Backley, Dan Worth, Maisie Marriott, Bronwynn Ready, Maddy Cook and Rebecca Norkett represented the county.
