MAX Palmer bagged a brace as Berinsfield stayed top of North Berks League Division 1 with a 5-0 win at Westminster, writes Richard Underwood.

Brian Rawlings, Chris Murphy and Michael Hinkin scored the others in a one-sided affair.

Saxton Rovers remain in touch with a 6-0 win over Steventon.

Frank Haines and Tom Stanley both scored doubles, with Ollie Nadin and Louis Bloomfield also on target.

Long Wittenham returned from North Oxford with a 4-2 victory thanks to two goals apiece for Callum Bowler and Will Houseman.

Marco Cadete and Tennyson Mawema replied.

In Division 2, Jason Williams hit a hat-trick as Watlington Town won 7-3 at Saxton Rovers Res.

Owen Wood, Alex McClay, Ben Little and Martin Williams were also on the mark, with Wayne

Waldron, Harry Stanley and Ashley Brown replying.

Josh Dennis hit all five for Drayton in their 5-4 win at Long Wittenham, who hit back through Will Vaukins (2), Dan Osbourne and John-Robert Willis.

In Division 3, Hanney 66 Club were hammered 13-0 at home to Lambourn Res.

Cholsey United crushed hosts Stanford Res 18-0 as Luke Higgins smashed an incredible eight


Josh Gilsenan added a double hat-trick, with Gary Bridges, Howard Hawkins, Thomas Mangan and Liam Woods completing the rout.
