PAUL Comley and Colin Whitehead are celebrating after winning the Bowls England national men’s senior pairs competition.
The Headington duo comprehensively defeated Cornwall’s Ronnie Thomas and Kevin Williams 24-7 at Royal Leamington Spa.
The victory ensured Whitehead joins a distinguished group of people to have won both the men’s senior singles and senior pairs, following his success in the 2010 individual event.
The duo secured a 24-10
victory over Buckinghamshire rivals Neil Farnish and David Simpson from Gerrards Cross BC in the last four.
And they finished the job with a convincing success in the final.
