HORSPATH Hammers duo Zac Payne and Will Jeffery go into this weekend’s British Open Championship at Hull on the back of triumphant displays.
Top-rated youngster Jeffery has been in superb form.
The 17-year-old dropped just one point in six rides when leading the South of England and South Wales Under 18 Battle of Britain side to a victory over the South East, who who had not been beaten in two years.
He then teamed up with Payne in the seniors – and both scored heavily to defeat the table-topping South East seniors.
The pair are expected to feature strongly in the British Championships, with real chances of making the podiums.
The under 18’s final takes place tomorrow with the senior championship being decided on Monday.
