KIDLINGTON’S Evo-Stik South League Division 1 Central campaign went from bad to worse last night with an 11-0 defeat at Bromsgrove Sporting.

After losing 5-0 on the opening day, the Greens had to play with ten men for nearly the entire game after Kane Finney saw red just eight minutes in.

Kidlington were already 1-0 down, and quickly conceded two more to trail 3-0 after just 13 minutes.

That became 6-0 at half-time, with the hosts inflicting more misery after the break by scoring five more goals.

Richard Gregory (5), Cameron Peters (2), Will Shorrock (2) and Jason Cowley (2) were on target.

Thame United got off to a dream start in their 3-2 Oxfordshire derby victory against North Leigh.

The hosts took the lead after just two minutes through Duran Martin.

But North Leigh levelled on 23 minutes through Alfie Saunders and went ahead two minutes after the break when George Seacole scored a superb individual goal.

However, Thame hit back to make it 2-2 with a goal from Ben Sturgess on 52 minutes and Liam Tack scored what turned out to be the winner 20 minutes from time.

Didcot Town recorded a first victory of the season with a 4-0 triumph at home to Aylesbury United.

After kick-off was delayed due to a hole in the netting of one goal, Felipe Barcelos (18) fired the hosts ahead.

Adam Learoyd doubled the lead eight minutes after and late goals from Matt Woodley (89) and Callum McNish (90) made the points safe.
