OXFORD City Stars have signed experienced utility player Lee Richardson in what their head coach Kenny Redmond has described as “a massive signing”.
The 35-year-old (pictured) has spent most of his career in the English Premier League, but also played in the Elite League.
Richardson played for Swindon Wildcats for many years, interspersed with spells at Bracknell Bees, Cardiff Devils, Basingstoke Bison and Coventry
Blaze.
His presence will boost Stars ahead of their forthcoming campaign in English National League Division 2 South.
Redmond said: “Lee is a massive signing for us. He has a wealth of experience having played most of his career at a higher level.
“He can play up front or in defence and his always high in the scoring charts.
“Lee will also help us in assisting with coaches and developing our junior pathway which is fantastic.”
Richardson said: “I’ve joined the Stars to be part of a winning team that is challenging for trophies.”
