DIDCOT'S impressive Division 1 South & West run continued with a 3-0 win at a baking hot Stag Meadow.

Striker Michael Bartley, making his full debut, fully vindicated his selection and capped a fine display with a goal as well as earning his side a first-half penalty.

It was Bartley who had the game's first chance, but he fired narrowly wide from a tight angle.

Ashley Vine then headed wide from a Josh Mulvany cross, but he did much better with a similar chance moments later.

This time the ball was swung-in by defender Matt Bicknell and Vine headed powerfully home from ten yards.

There were very few clear-cut chances in the first half as the players struggled in the heat.

Glen Harris saw a rare Windsor effort deflected wide by Jamie Heapy and then Jermaine Roche came within a whisker of converting Chris Hussey's cross at the far post.

A minute before the break Didcot grabbed a vital second goal.

Bartley burst into the penalty box and Steve Butler's crude challenge brought him down. Paul Powell made no mistake from the spot.

The contest was effectively settled when Bartley raced onto a long clearance from Scott Davis and turned the ball past the advancing Sam Mazurek in the Windsor goal.

Andy Parrott fired a long range effort wide and substitute Ian Concannon brought a fine save from Mazurek as the visitors looked to add another.

Windsor should have reduced the arrears with 15 minutes to go but Ricci Dolan volleyed over from ten yards.
