STAFFORD manager Phil Robinson was frustrated by the timing of Oxford's goals in his team's 2-1 defeat at the Kassam Stadium.
He said: "In the first half we limited them to very few chances.
"We frustrated them at times, but with them scoring 30 seconds before half-time and 20 seconds after it, that changed the complexion of the game.
"We got a goal back later on, but we'd given ourselves a mountain to climb with those two goals we conceded.
"We'd wanted to try and contain them, which we did, and we'd wanted to frustrate the crowd, which was happening, but the goals lifted both their players and their supporters.
"It was so frustrating that the goals came in that period."
Bottom club Stafford, who have former United coach David Oldfield as Robinson's No 2, now face a massive game today against second-from- bottom Altrincham at Marston Road.
"Yes, it's an important game for us," Robinson admitted. "We need to get some points on the board."
