FRILFORD Heath’s Olly Huggins captured the prestigious Berks Bucks & Oxon Championship at Woburn.
The 19-year-old triumphed by three shots with a five-over-par total of 293 after rounds of 70, 74, 74 and 75 in tricky conditions.
Huggins led from the front and kept his nerve to win from the Castle Royle duo of Tim Shin and George Gardner, who were joint second.
The champion, who is coached by Andy Taylor of ATG Golf academy at Kirtlington GC, said: “That was a tough few days, but I feel I really learnt how to win ugly.”
