ALICE Hopkins marked her first international competition with a bronze medal at Sportcity, Manchester.
The Oxford City teenager scored 5,257pts in the heptathlon when representing England in the Home Countries Combined Event Championships.
Hopkins, 19, put together a solid performance, including a personal best of 25.03secs in the 200m which saw her lead after the first day.
She then won the long jump with an effort of 5.94m, before her competitors caught up.
A pb of 2mins 29.21secs in the 800m ensured Hopkins won bronze in her last event of the season.
She will return to training with coaches Marcia and Ian Marriott later in the year, targeting qualification for the Under 23 European Championships in 2019.
