STANTON Harcourt 2nd lifted the first piece of silverware in2018 as they defeated Faringdon 2nd by four wickets in the final of the Osberton Radiators Cup at Westcott.

Faringdon set a competitive total as Simon Cornish (80) and Herbie Townsend (44) helped them to 226-7 in their 45 overs.

But a superb knock of 92 from man-of-the-match Jason Fuller, plus 54 not out from Jake Souch, saw Stanton to 230-6 to secure the trophy.

In the Airey Cup, Witney Swifts and Stonesfield reached the final.

Swifts overcame hosts Middleton Cheney by 56 runs.

Nigel Hume hit 90 in Swifts’ 194-8, before Redd Pratley took 5-34 as Cheney were dismissed for 138.

Stonesfield saw off visitors Watlington by 33 runs.

A fine spell by Rama Garimella (6-14) helped to dismiss the hosts for 131.

But 4-35 from Tom Gubbins and 3-12 from Dan Farrant sent Watlington crashing to 98 all out in reply.

Radley will meet Hook Norton in the Telegraph Cup final after they saw off Risinghurst by 80

runs.

Radley set 254-8 in their 45 overs, Shoaib Ahmed hitting 44 not out and Ali Malik 44.

Malik then took 4-60 as Risinghurst fell for 174.
