DEFENDING Premier Section champions Bicester Ex-Services Club suffered their heaviest defeat in a long while, when they lost 6-3 at home to TJs Club B in the Cowley Workers ODDA League.

Playing the pairs first, the hosts took a 2-1 lead into the singles.

Sean Holly pulled one game back for the Bicester side, before Geordie Grant sealed TJ’s stunning win.

In the all-Premier clash the visiting Croft Bar scored a 6-3 away to leaders Challow British Legion.

Meanwhile, the Cricketers Arms B played host to their A team in Section 2.

The B side led 4-2 after the singles thanks to successes from Jimmy Oram, Alan Hunter, Karl Smith and Phil Cook.

Despite losing the pairs 2-1, the B side held on for a 5-4 win.

George Lounge A raced into a 3-0 lead away to Section 3 rivals Bullnose Morris after victories from Bob Boyce, George Newbold and Keith Ballard.

The hosts stormed back to level at 3-3 thanks to Mark Wheeler, Brian Clarke and Vic Clarke.

But the George would not be denied and a 3-0 pairs win saw them home 6-3.

Victories from Malcolm Cloak, Colin Walton and David Morris gave them a 3-0 lead.

The visitors pulled one game back through John Pages.

But that only prevented the whitewash as wins from David Turner and Simon Lee, plus a 3-0 result in the pairs, gave Gladiators an 8-1 win.
